TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating after a deputy-involved shooting Monday afternoon.
According the Leon County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened at the 1400 block of Manor House Drive near Bull Headly Road.
The deputy was not injured.
LCSO says that a motor deputy tried to make a traffic stop on the suspect but the driver began backing into the deputy, forcing the deputy to fire shots.
The suspect was hit, though they say the suspect has been hospitalized in stable condition.
As per standard practice, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the incident, collecting evidence, and interviewing neighbors.
