Applications Now Being Accepted for Valdosta Government 101 Citizens Orientation

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The City of Valdosta is giving residents a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the local government runs.

They are offering the 7th annual Valdosta Government 101 Citizens Orientation.

They are now accepting applications through March 18.

Those selected for the program will meet on seven consecutive Mondays, beginning in April.

They'll get to learn about programs in Valdosta and city services, take tours of facilities and hear from some guest presenters.

Application forms are available at Valdosta City Hall, the Customer Service Center or the Public Information Office. For more information, contact Public Information Officer Sementha Mathews at (229) 259-3548.  Completed applications should be returned to the Public Information Office, Valdosta City Hall Annex, 300 N. Lee Street, Room 102, or completed online by the March 18 deadline.
