TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Businesses impacted by Hurricane Matthew last week, or Hurricane Hermine one month ago, can now apply for loans from the state to help with financial issues caused by the storms.
The state's Emergency Bridge-Loan program is designed to help businesses re-open as soon as possible following a disaster.
The program is run through the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.
Small businesses with between two and 100 employees that qualify for assistance can get short-term, interest-free loans of up to $25,000.
The loans are then to be repaid within 90 or 180 days.
The deadline to apply for businesses impacted by Hurricane Hermine is October 31st, and for those affected by Hurricane Matthew, the application due date is November 11th.
