ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A website that booked hard-to-find reservations at popular Walt Disney World restaurants and charged customers a fee for them has ceased operations.
In a message, Disney Dining Buddy announced Thursday that Disney had requested it discontinue its services.
The website says anyone with reservations will receive an email over the next week with instructions for refunds.
Reservations at restaurants such as Be Our Guest are often booked as soon as they become available on Disney's website.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1MtDmrl ) reports that Disney Dining Buddy charged a fee in exchange for watching 24-7 for the tough-to-get reservations. The company sent customers emails or texts when openings popped up. The customer could then book the reservation.
Other companies apparently make reservations on Disney's site and sell them outright.
