MIDWAY, FL - Wednesday on Pinterest Party, the Sunrise Crew learned how to make a "leaf bowl."
The craft is appropriately named "Fall into Clay."
Here's how it works:
Using leaves found in the garden, you can impress a texture into clay and create bowl.
Find a bowl and line it with Cellophane or newspaper
Roll out a slab of clay about 1/4 inch thick,
Using a roller, press a leaf into the clay to create the vein texture.
With a knife, cut out the leaf shape.
Make about enough to cover the surface of any bowl
Gently arrange the clay leaves into the bowl and overlap them.
Use a little water or vinegar between the overlapping edges to help the clay stick together.
Gently press the edges together trying not to press out the vein texture.
let the clay dry - fire and glaze.
