VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Symphony Guild will put on a show for local children this weekend. The Guild presents "Tunes for Tots" this Saturday, January 18, at the Whitehead Auditorium in Valdosta State University's Fine Arts Building.
The event begins at 10:00 a.m. with instrument demonstrations from musicians with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra. Performances by South Georgia String Project students, who range in age from 8 to adult, will follow.
From 10:45 a.m. to Noon, children will be allowed to try all the instruments in the orchestra. Admission is free of charge, and children of all ages are invited to attend.
Whitehead Auditorium is located on the first floor of the VSU Fine Arts Building, at the intersection of Brookwood Drive and Oak Street. Free parking is available at the Oak Street Parking Deck.
