TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The wait is over! Cascades Park's new restaurant The Edison has now set an opening date.
Following successful soft openings over the weekend, owner Adam Corey announced The Edison will officially open for business on Sunday, September 20.
The restaurant is home to internationally inspired cuisines, a beer garden, wine room and coffee bar.
Built in 1921, the site is the former home of the City Electric and Light Plant, and the restaurant is sticking to its roots. The owners have preserved all the brick and the steel spiral staircase.
The Edison is now taking reservations at (850) 684-2117. According to the website, The Edison will also offer order-ahead "Picnics to Go." You can pick up a picnic basket at the service window, and "enjoy a gourmet, healthy lunch with your friends or family" at Cascades Park.
