The Tallahassee Senior Center and the National Council on Aging will host "Join the Pacemakers: Heart Healthy Extravaganza" on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tallahassee Senior Center.
Participants will learn heart healthy habits and the benefits of a new MRI compatible pacemaker. There will also be a Contra dance and catered lunch. The event is free and open to the public. Only a few open slots remain, so make your reservation as soon as possible.
In addition, the Leon County Senior Outreach will be hosting a grand opening of the Lake Jackson Community Center, 3840 North Monroe Street, called "Lunch & Learn" on February 21st from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They are requesting a $6 donation.
Another event, the Senior Games, will take place March 9th - 18th. TSC will host a preview event on February 20th at 7:30 p.m. at the Tallahassee Senior Center.
