Tallahassee Organization Helps Felons Re-Enter the Workforce

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - As part of the Father's Day initiative, Life Church International will be helping male persons of re-entry seeks jobs and get "Back to Work".

WTXL's Christine Souders met with Reverend Greg James and Mutaquee Akbar to learn more about the event and discuss the impact it has on men with convictions who are trying to re-enter the community.

The Back to Work Job Fair is part of Life Church International's Fathers Day initiative and will provide men with felonies with the proper tools they need to apply for jobs.

Career counselors will be available to assist with career choices and workforce development and attendees will also have access to a computer center which will allow them to submit applications online. Several employers from diverse industries who support integration and re-entry will also be present to accept applications.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 18th from 10am-1pm at 4409 Blonstown Highway. It is free and open to all male persons of re-entry.
