TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Jazz lovers were in for a treat this weekend as Tallahassee Museum offered visitors the sultry sounds of blues and the big brass of jazz.

It was the 22nd Annual Jazz and Blues Festival. The 2-day event featured traditional and contemporary blues on the outdoor stage.

The president of Tallahassee Museum said the event was a way for guests to get in touch with local music.

"This town has so many great musicians that people don't get an opportunity to learn about, see. Many of them are traveling Europe, throughout the United States and they come here and donate their whole time and effort to support the museum. We love supporting them and we want people to understand the beauty of live music," said Russell Daws.

The festival is organized by Del Suggs, a professional musician that runs Saltwater Music.
