TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- It was a party in Tallahassee, as dozens ventured downtown for the weekend marketplace.
The Tallahassee Downtown Market opened it's 21st season Saturday with a guest performance by Del Suggs Salt Water Music. The event is free and open to the public.
It's a community market where shoppers can buy food and crafts, network with neighbors and local businesses, and of course hear some local bands.
The director of the Downtown Experience told ABC27 this market is for the city.
"This is for the community. This is an event that belongs to Tallahassee. We're here every Saturday, March through November. It's open from 9 a.m. Until 2 p.m. We have food, arts and crafts. There's a lot of things to do and see," said Allen Thompson.
The marketplace attracts 135,000 visitors to the downtown area each season.
