TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Some local business are teaming up to give back to the community.
This holiday season marks the inaugural Holiday Hop and the fifth annual Santa Shuffle, something organizers call it a holiday pub crawl on a mission.
It's a collaboration of Tallahassee's Network of Young Professional and the Tallahassee Brew District, which includes: GrassLands Brewing Company, Madison Social, Proof Brewing Company, and The Brass Tap Downtown.
With so many in need during the holidays, proceeds from the bar crawl will benefit Guardian Ad Litem, PACE Center for Girls and Last Hope Rescue.
The Holiday Hop also kicks of the Tallahassee Brew District's week long toy drive where every person who brings an unwrapped toy to any brew district location from December 13 through December 20 will receive a complimentary beer from that establishment.
The Holiday Hop & Santa Shuffle are Saturday, December 12 from 5 p.m. until midnight. Everything starts at Madison Social (705 S. Woodward Ave.); the second stop is The Brass Tap Downtown (699 W. Gaines St.); stop three is : GrassLands Brewing Company (603 W. Gaines St.) and everything ends at Proof Brewing Company (644 McDonnell Drive). There's also a most festive holiday costume contest at Proof at 10 p.m.
Cost is $25. That includes a holiday mug with a connecting lanyard and one beer at each location. If you bring an unwrapped toy (approximate value of $5 or higher) to Madison Social when you register you will receive one additional beer at Proof Brewing Company.
