TALLAHASSEE, FL - Sunrise Rocks with Guitar & Bass Player Jim Crozier.
Here's a little bio on Jim Crozier:
Been in the Tallahassee area since 1976, but grew up in the Northern Allegheny River Valley, in Warren, Pennsylvania.
Jim Crozier brings a strong rhythm and driving, heart felt voice to a style he calls Edgy Blues and Twisted Americana.
Among the songwriters he admires are Tom Waits, Aaron Nevell, Leonard Cohen, Bobby Charles, Rodney Crowell, and Gram Parsons.
Jim Crozier is now back to music full time after a long career in Government IT.
He got his first guitar a year before the Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan Show and picked up the bass soon after.
While engaged as the musical director at a summer theater, he wrote some music for an off-Broadway musical, "Touch" - the original cast album was nominated for a Grammy in 1972.
After earning a degree in Music Composition from the FSU School of Music, he continued to live and work in the Tallahassee area, playing bass with many local ensembles including jazz quartets, blues bands, and a classic big band.
In 2007, he released his album "Down to the Village".
Jim is presently working on another recording project, releasing singles along the way which are available on all popular digital download and streaming sites.
Upcoming performances: Jim produces a weekly show called the Wednesday Night Lab Session from 6 to 8pm at Bird's Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack.
He usually backs the guest on bass letting them do what they do best, but sometimes he gets a few top rate musicians to back him on his own show.
