Southern Shakespeare Festival Wraps-Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)- The finale of the Southern Shakespeare Festival got underway Sunday evening, despite heavy rain earlier that day.

Meteorologist Max Tsaparis emceed Saturday's performance of "A Midsummer's Night Dream."

The festival combines artists, vendors, and of course Shakespeare. This year's event was held at Cascades Park.

The educational director of the festival explained the significance of being in Cascades for the 2015 fest.

"This is a perfect location. It's the perfect city for Shakespeare. We have been too long without a festival in the addition of cascades park over the last year has just really made it a perfect location for what we're trying to do, which is bring Shakespeare to masses for everyone," said Kevin Carr.
