LEON COUNTY, FL. (WTXL) - Thursday night, Leon County held a public safety session.
The meetings are part of a series of sessions that feature Emergency Medical Services and the Consolidated Dispatch Agency. The meeting was held in the Public Safety Complex. Citizens were able to participate in an interactive forum as well as take a tour of the complex.
The series has been running since it was authorized by the Leon County Commission in August of 2011. It seeks to increase community engagement throughout county.
According to Leon County Assistant Administrator Shington Lamy, "We want to make sure that there's a take away, there's a take away, that yes this is your opportunity to see what the county government does but also how we can engage them in the future moving forward through EMS, CDA, or EOC."
