TALLAHASSEE, FL - It's a musical event to raise money for victims of domestic violence.

Monday on Second Cup, musicians Sarah Jane Young and Galen Peiskee joined Malcolm Hornsby to talk about "Women in Music: Benefiting Refuge House"

Sarah Jane Young and Galen Peiskee are collaborating in the Young-Peiskee Flute/Piano Duo to present a program of striking and beautiful music by female composers in a benefit recital for Refuge House of Leon County.

They hope to encourage people to donate to Refuge House in support of their mission: to provide direct services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and to their children and families, as well as eliminate such violence through community education and public advocacy.

It's Sunday, June 24th at 3 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church, 2713 Bannerman Road

Any donations will be given directly to the Refuge House.

Donations may be made at the door or at the Refuge House website at http://refugehouse.com/support/
