TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- There's a unique way to remember loved ones this holiday season.

This weekend marks the second annual 'In Remembrance' concert.

It's being put on by the Music With a Mission ministry of Lafayette Presbyterian Church, which is partnering with Big Bend Hospice.

The idea is bringing people together who may be missing a loved one, especially during a time of family and cheer like the holidays.

Music will be performed by the Lafayette Chancel Choir, university singers and friends under the Direction of Dr. Linda Lovins and Pianist Allyson Carroll.

Those involved say "music selections and readings have been thoughtfully interwoven to bring comfort, hope and remembrance for those missing someone during the holiday season."

Organizers add that it doesn't matter if your loss was recent or years ago, saying that grief and the holidays can hit us all hard.

The 'In Remembrance' benefit concert is Sunday, November 22 at 2 p.m. at the Lafayette Presbyterian Church (4220 Mahan Drive).

It's free to attend and all are invited.

A reception will follow, including remembrance table and children's grief activity table, where kids can make an ornament in memory of a lost loved one.
