Posted

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Florida State Police make an arrest after a female student reported being followed and then grabbed by an unknown man late March.

Nicholas Schramm was arrested Thursday and charged with 1 count of misdemeanor battery.

According to police, a female FSU student reported on March 19th that she was followed and grabbed on the buttocks by an unknown man. She added that the previous day, the same male had asked for her telephone number.

Police were able to use investigative techniques to trace the phone number to Schramm. And after preliminary interviews, officers had enough to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Schramm's arrest comes just 1 month after 2 FSU students are arrested for sexual battery, following reports from a different female student that the males attacked her while she was escorting them to a dorm.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and the Iota Rho chapter of Alpha Phi Omega stopped by WTXL ABC27 to spread awareness. The group created a human ribbon on Saturday to represent the month. Watch their full on this page.
