Diving Into Summer at Tallahassee Pools

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) --  As we near the end of the month, a reminder that all city pools throughout Tallahassee open for the season May 30. 

City pools include the Trousdell Aquatics Center, Forestmeadows Pool, Jack McLean Aquatics Center, Walker Ford Pool, Robinson Trueblood Pool at Dade Street, Levy Pool and Wade Wehunt Pool at Myers Park. The only cost to swimmers is the entrance fee.

Life jackets are available upon request at no charge.     

If you want to hit the water on Memorial Day, the activity pools at the Trousdell and Jack McLean Aquatics Center open at 11:30 a.m. 

The city is still hiring lifeguards for the summer. To be considered, you must take and pass the lifeguard training course. The next two class session are June 2-6 and then June 8-12. 

Swimming lessons are also offered through the city at several area pools. Registration is open.
