TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- There's a way to help history come alive this weekend in Chattahoochee.

Ben Chandler from Chattahoochee Main Street joined us on WTXL Sunrise to talk about a special dedication ceremony.

It's at the site of the Nicolls' Outpost at River Landing Park, which was a British fort in the War of 1812.

Now, a historical marker will be in place.

It'll be unveiled in a free community ceremony on Sunday, November 9 at 3 p.m.  Col. Benjamin Hawkins and the Creek Prophet Josiah Francis will be on hand, along with historian Dale Cox. For more information, call (850) 663-2323.
