THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--It’s a tradition that has been celebrated for 92 years in Thomasville, Ga.

More than 500 rose bushes bloom April through July filling the air with a sweet smell. Greeting you on your way into town are many signs welcoming visitors to the “City of Roses.”

Thousands of people from all over the country make their way to South Georgia to enjoy all of the festivities the Rose Show and Festival has to offer. This free family-friendly event attracts people of all ages with a parade, street dancing, live music, arts and crafts, a car show, food, games and more.

This year WTXL ABC 27 is excited to announce that our very own Abbey Maurer, Sean Parker and Dave Griffiths will be in the Rose Parade.

The parade starts Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m.
