TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- CareerSource Capital Region is thanking the community for the success of its suit drive.
The group teamed up with Men's Warehouse for the eighth year. This summer, more than 1,460 pieces of business attire were donated, from suits to shoes.
The local drive is part of a national campaign, and this year, our region had the best response.
"What’s most important however, is that each time a job seeker has a barrier to employment involving access to professional clothing, they will be taken to our clothing closet and given a suit. With that suit, they will also be given the confidence to re-enter the workforce, so they can support themselves and their loved ones," said Breanna Harvey, marketing & communications specialist for CareerSource Capital Region.
All of the clothes collected go to the CareerSource "closet" -- and given to those in need who are going on job interviews.
