CALL FOR HELP: Authorities Searching for Missing 11-year-old Autistic Boy from Albany

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -The Albany Police Department sent out a request for the public to be on the lookout for a missing child, Tuesday morning.

They say Bruce Lemon-Curry, 11, has autism, and wandered away from his home at approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning.

APD is focusing their search in the 500 block of West Gordon Avenue, and has brought in its mobile command post. A helicopter is flying overhead.

APD issued the following statement, looking for volunteers to assist in the search beginning Wednesday morning:

"Albany Police Chief Michael Persley is requesting volunteers to aid in the search for 11-year old Bruce Lemon-Curry. Anyone wanting to assist can report to the command post at 8:30 a.m. if Bruce is isn't located tonight. The Command Post will be located in the 500 block of West Gordon Avenue. Anyone needing information can call Community Relations at 229-733-0031."

Lemon-Curry is wearing a gray/red shirt and underwear.

If anyone locates him, they should call 911.
