TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend and South Georgia both received checks worth 18,000 pounds of food today, thanks to the Winn-Dixie Hunger Relief program which ran from Nov. 7 through Dec. 24. Winn-Dixie, it's customers and vendors made this happen through generous donations.
Today, Winn-Dixie District Director Tim Vaughn proudly presented America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend and Second Harvest of South Georgia with checks representing nearly 18,000 pounds of food inside local Winn-Dixie stores. This is enough to feed more than 27,000 neighbors in need throughout the Big Bend and South Georgia.
