TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A man has been arrested after police discovered Flakka and a loaded gun inside his car.
The Tallahassee Police Department says that they were conducting a proactive patrol in the 2500 block of Holton Street when they saw a suspicious car in a parking lot.
When they spoke with the people inside, they noticed the car was filled with smoke. At that point, officers determined they had probable cause to search the vehicle.
When they did, they found cannabis and the synthetic drug A-PVP (alpha-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone), also known as Flakka, inside the vehicle, packaged with the intent to sell.
They also found a loaded handgun under the back passenger seat.
The driver, Alexander Nix, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, carrying an unliscensed concealed firearm, and possession of a synthetic narcotic and marijuana with the intent to sell.
He remains in jail on a $12,500 bond.
