MILTON, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say the two children who ingested an acid-type liquid likely used to make meth drank it out of a sippy cup.
Santa Rosa County Sheriff's deputies arrested 24-year-old Amber Nicole Cooley and 27-year-old Kyle Joseph Cooley on charges including child neglect with great bodily harm, manufacture of meth while child present and possession of drug equipment earlier this week. Authorities said the chemical was consistent with the manufacturing of meth and found items indicating meth was being produced in the home.
After interviewing Kyle Cooley, deputies returned to the home Friday morning and retrieved the cup.
The children were hospitalized, but details on their conditions were not released.
