ALBANY, Ga. (AP) - Albany police have arrested three people and seized more than five pounds of marijuana and $14,000 in cash after a traffic stop.
A police report says that Sunday afternoon, an officer was standing outside in North Albany when he smelled marijuana coming from a Cadillac driving by. The officer tried to stop the car, but the driver pulled into a driveway and attempted to walk away.
The report says the officer searched the car and found a gun under a seat, marijuana inside two duffel bags and more than $14,000 in cash.
Investigators arrested Lashonda Lewis, Charles Walters and Shonteriea Barrance and charged them with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Walters was also charged with possession of a firearm.
It's unclear if Lewis, Walters or Barrance have attorneys.
