SILVER SPRINGS SHORES, Fla. (AP) - Police say a 20-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy are accused of shooting a security guard at a fireworks stand near Ocala.

The shooting happened in the early morning hours of July 4.

The Ocala Star-Banner (http://bit.ly/29fzwrQ) Gilbert Manso was shot twice during an attempted robbery.

According to an arrest report, Manso told Marion County Sheriff's deputies Quinneshia Roberts and the teen put a handgun to Manso's head and demanded access to a safe. They shot him in the shoulder when he tried to defend himself.

Manso says they ran, but returned and shot him in the leg.

Deputies used a K-9 to track the pair. They are being held without bail on charges of robbery and attempted felony murder. Records don't indicate whether they have lawyers.
