Two former Jackson Co. employees indicted on charges of grand theft over $100,000

JACKSON COUNTY, FL -- Two former employees of the Jackson County Tax Collector’s Office have been indicted on charges of stealing over $100,000.

Roberta Mary Cotton and Genene Hill Hall were taken into custody Thursday following an 8-month investigation by The Florida Highway Patrol’s Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Intelligence.

Evidence discovered during the investigation was presented before a grand jury in Jackson County on Thursday.

Cotton and Hall, former employees of the Sneads, Florida branch, are both charged with Grand Theft over $100,000, Organized Scheme to Defraud, and 218 counts of Forgery.

The two were arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on $150,000 bond.
