LAFEYETTE COUNTY (WTXL) - One person is dead after an accident on CR 534 and SW Jefferson Lane, said the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a person driving a 2000 Ford Contour was traveling west on County Road 534 Saturday morning.
According to the FHP report, the car drove off the paved road into the shoulder of the road, then attempted to correct the path of the car. However, they the car spun out of control and hit several mailboxes and fences before the car overturned.
The driver was pronounced dead at scene. FHP is still waiting to notfiy next of kin before they release the identity of the driver.
At this time, FHP is investigating and does not know what caused the driver to lose control of the car.
