FRANKLIN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A missing man is back home and safe after his truck is found in the Apalachicola River.
Friday afternoon, deputies got a call about a submerged truck at the Bloody Bluff boat ramp off hwy. 65. When the truck was pulled out of the water, deputies found out it's registered to Billy Pullam of Hosford, Florida. Hosford is about 40 miles northeast of the boat ramp.
Pullam was rescued after a passerby spotted him floating on a log just north of Apalachicola Saturday afternoon. Pullam told deputies he ran his truck into the water, then started swimming down the river.
The Franklin County Sheriff says Pullam will not face any charges.
