TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- One person is recovering from serious burns after a Tuesday evening fire.
Tallahassee fire crews were responding to a call in the 1400 block of Bahia Drive, of a van engulfed in flames. When they got to the scene, that fire was spreading to three other cars.
Dispatchers then got a call from Sunnyside Drive, where the person who was burned ran for help.
Officials think he was working in his garage when the fire broke out. He was airlifted to a Gainsville hospital for significant burns.
The Tallahassee Fire Department says the fire looks like an accident, but the cause is still under investigation. Damages were estimated at $25,000.
