THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - A man whose body was found in a pond from a possible drowning in Thomasville has been identified.
Norris Randall Butler, 55, has been identified as the victim by authorities.
Tuesday night, the Butler family filed a missing person's report for Norris who was last seen July 7.
He was working on building a dam on the family's property near M & M Lane in Thomasville.
The dam was in between two ponds and the family says he was very careful about how he kept his tools.
The family states when they went out to check on him, they saw his shirt and shoes on top of his work area and suspected something went wrong.
Wednesday morning, the Thomas County Sheriff's Office searched the area where he was believed to be missing and found his body in the culvert area in between the two ponds.
