TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The area of Seminole Drive and Santa Rosa Drive was blocked off as Tallahassee police searched for a homicide suspect Sunday night.

At approximately 7:15 pm, Tallahassee Police Officers said they were attempting to locate homicide suspect, Deondra Hudson.

Officers believed they saw a person who looked like the suspect leaving a local store. Officers began to pursue the vehicle that had two people inside, including the man believed to be Hudson.

The vehicle began to flee when officers used a precision intervention technique, lightly tapping the vehicle causing it to spin out. An officer got out of the car and began giving verbal commands that were ignored by the passengers.

The officer perceived a threat and shot one of the suspects before they ran off.  Additional units were then called to search the area for the suspects.

21 year old Kenny Sharpe sustained a non life threatening gunshot wound. The second suspect is still at large. Sharpe has been taken to local hospital for treatment.

Anyone with information is urged to call TPD at 891-4200.
