SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL)--A Lake City man is behind bars in Suwannee County after confessing to law enforcement about a murder early Tuesday morning.
It happened at 216th Street in Lake City. Suwannee County deputies say Jason Frame struck the victim's head with a 40 pound dumbbell hand weight. Frame told them it was in self-defense.
The victim was found with the weight on top of her, along with cuts and bruises. Her name has not been released.
According to the affidavit, Frame reported it as a suicide to Suwannee County deputies but further investigation determined it a homicide.
Frame told deputies they were fighting over her infidelity issues.
He's charged with second degree murder.
