TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Two FSU students were honored by Governor Rick Scott for their company that provides socks to the homeless.

Jason McIntosh and Mitch Nelson were awarded the Governor's Young Entrepreneur Award for their company, DivvyUp.

The company started as a class project in 2014 and has since provided over 3,200 pairs of socks to homeless shelters in Florida by donating a pair for every pair purchased by customers.

In a statement, Governor Rick Scott said, "Jason and Mitch's innovative ideas and strong work ethic are helping thousands of homeless people across the state. I am proud of the impact they are making and I look forward to seeing DivvyUp's continued success in Florida."
