TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- March is Sexual Assault Awareness Group, and one group at FSU is bringing the community together, to shine a light on the issue.

Alpha Phi Omega at Florida State University is hosting a "human ribbon." They're asking people to come together wearing teal to create a living ribbon.

The organization did a similar event in October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and say 75 people took part.

Organizers Joe Valley and Desiree Saunders joined us on WTXL Midday for all of the details. Click the thumbnail to watch the complete interview.

You can get involved in creating this teal human ribbon on Saturday, March 25 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Volunteers are meeting at Turf Field (Marching Chiefs Practice Field).
