CLAY COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A Florida woman was killed after she fell asleep behind the wheel after working an overnight nursing shift, causing her car to drive off the road and flip several times.
WPLG reports that Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Caitlin Magliochetti overcorrected when her car went off the road, causing her to go into a ditch.
Hector Magliochetti, Caitlin's husband, said his wife had worked two straight overnight shifts in the cardiac unit at St. Vincent's South hospital in Jacksonville.
The Magliochetti's have five daughters, ages 11 months to 10-years-old.
