Donovan Chapman comes from Louisiana, and now lives in Tallahassee.

He's an American Country Music Artist.

He peaked with the No. 42 "House Like That" in late 2006-early 2007.

His mother exposed him to music from her native Hawaii at an early age and he soon learned to play the ukulele.

At 17, he enlisted in the United States Air Force.

His 11 years in the military included five in Pararescue.

During his leave time, he met Mike Curb, head of the Curb Records label, and was soon a signed artist.

Chapman released his first single, "There Is No War," in 2003.

He dedicated the single to families of American soldiers who had died overseas.

Chapman recorded two albums for Curb Records shortly before returning to duty in Afghanistan.

He also released a self-titled EP, followed by his first full album, I Am America.

After returning to the United States, Chapman signed with Category 5 Records.

He released his first single for Category 5, "House Like That" with producer Billy Joe Walker, Jr., in late 2006.

Chapman released a second single, "All I Need," in 2007, shortly before terminating his relationship with Category 5 Records.

Today, Chapman is in the studio in Nashville working on his new single, "Another Try," due for release in May 2016.

He’s also continuing his higher education and helping out with his favorite charity, the Spirit of a Child Foundation.
