STUART, Fla. (AP) - A central Florida woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a drunken driving crash that left her passenger dead.
A Martin County judge sentenced 24-year-old Sarah Fulton on Tuesday after she pleaded no contest to DUI manslaughter.
Authorities say Fulton crashed her car into a power pole in June 2012. Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers reports that the crash split the car in two and left 22-year-old Raven Feurstein dead at the scene.
Three hours after the crash, Fulton's blood-alcohol level was recorded to be 0.098 percent. Florida law considers a driver impaired at 0.08.
