TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — With the economic uncertainties from the coronavirus, we here at ABC 27 are shining a light on businesses that are doing their part to help out the community while keeping their business open.

Burrito Boarder says, "We're Open, Tallahassee!" - and ready to serve you on this "Takeout Tuesday."

For eight years, Burrito Boarder has been offering "fresh-mex" menu items, and the COVID-19 pandemic hasn't stopped them from making their salsa from scratch every day.

They also feature a retro gaming bar, but that's temporarily closed.

Now, Burrito Boarder is offering delivery and takeout, and say they appreciate those who are supporting them.

"My job as a small businessman isn't just to make money, my job is to make sure that these people work for me survive and have a living," said David Turknett, the owner of Burrito Boarder. "And you can go anywhere, we've got Paper Fox Coffee across the street, just down there, we got Gordo's down there. So many places just in this area that are local, and they are all just like us. They are just trying to survive. So pick a place that you enjoy and get it, and we hope one of them is us."

Burrito Boarder, open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., is located on West Pensacola Street, near Ocala.

You can check them out on Facebook or by calling (850)329-6191.
