MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The Tropics have quieted down somewhat, but there is new activity brewing near the Cape Verde Islands just east of Africa. A tropical wave there has the potential to develop into a tropical depression. As of Wednesday morning, it has a 70% chance of organizing into one in the next five days. It is forecast to move to the west/northwest in that period, likely jogging north of the Lesser Antilles.
