TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The countdown continues! Only five days left in hurricane season and conditions couldn't be quieter. Upper level shear over the western Atlantic have turned off the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico's chance of formation and cold water elsewhere aren't feeding any storm clusters elsewhere in the Atlantic Basin, so we can safely say that no more tropical systems are expected through the end of the month. Hurricane season ends at the end of November.
