MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Two named systems continue to move through the open Atlantic waters, but none of them are a threat to the local area.
Karl, is back to Tropical Depression status as of the 5am advisory with winds sustained at 35 mph. It isn't expected to be a hurricane as quick and as long as it once was, due to the system losing a battle with upper level wind shear. Bermuda may still see impacts from the system as a Tropical Storm.
Lisa is still a Tropical Storm, and as of the 5am advisory, the storm has sustained winds at 50 mph. It is not forecast to become a hurricane as it pushes to the northwest and soon, the storm is expected to die out in the cooler waters of the open Atlantic. It is not a threat to land.
