The tropics are looking pretty quiet today. One of the waves we mentioned yesterday, located a couple hundred miles from Bermuda, is no longer a factor. The second disturbance off the coast of Africa is located about 325 miles south-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. This system has a 30% chance to become a tropical cyclone with in the next 48 hours as it continues to head west-northwest. We will keep an eye on the disturbance throughout its duration but as of now it will not be affecting our area.
