We are currently watching two areas of low pressure for possible development.
The 1st system that's closest to home has been given a 30% chance for development within the next 48 hours and a 40% chance for possible development within the next 5 days. This system is currently spreading disorganized thunderstorms from Central America towards Jamaica and eastern Cuba. This system will move northward at 15-20 mph into the southern Gulf of Mexico where winds could become slightly more favorable for development.
The 2nd area of low pressure is off the coast of Africa a few hundred miles ESE of the Cape Verde islands. Environmental conditions appear at least slightly conducive for intensification over the next few days and the system has been given a 40% chance for possible development over the next 2 days.
