Shower and thunderstorm activity will persist through the day today, with the heaviest rain favoring the eastern half of the forecast area. The cold front coming through this afternoon will generate scattered and showers and storms this afternoon, with rainfall totals approaching 1-2 inches. Rain chances this afternoon stay around 60%. High pressure will build in from the Ohio valley tomorrow, filtering in slightly cooler and drier air. Our first taste of fall comes over the weekend, with highs in the low 80’s and lows brushing the low 60’s. Another cold front approaches the area late Monday and early Tuesday, increasing rain chances slightly once again.
