TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- An area of high pressure is still sitting in the western Atlantic Ocean. This continues to bring in southerly and southeasterly winds and air. This, of course, is humid air and will help contribute to afternoon rain and thunderstorms.
This afternoon, expect highs in the upper 80s and very low 90s. Winds will remain from the east and southeast at 5 to 10 mph. There is a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours, though a stray shower before then cannot be ruled out. Partly cloudy conditions will be present through much of the day with cloudier skies expected with the rain storms.
Tonight, lows fall to the lower and mid 70s with a partly cloudy to mostly clear sky on hand.
