As we enter the final month of the 2013 hurricane season Friday, we'll continue monitoring unimpressive features in the open Atlantic basin waters. Most disturbances ... in the Atlantic Ocean east of Bermuda, around the Lesser Antilles ... are brought about by upper-level systems. A wave of moisture off the west African coastline is not showing immediate signs of development, and the Gulf and western Caribbean are void of any significant activity.
