MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Hurricane Chris has begun accelerating to the northeast in the western Atlantic Ocean, keeping its distance from the U.S. eastern seaboard.
The leftover cloudiness from the former Hurricane Beryl are moving through the Bahamas in the next 24 hours. The conditions for re-intensification and low to moderate over the next five days. It will likely take a similar path to Chris and remain over ocean waters during its travels.
The rest of the Atlantic basin is generally quiet, with little to no chance for new tropical development in the next few days.
